 Riding while on the lungline?
« Thread Started on Sept 17, 2006, 2:14pm »

So I'm working this pony mare(chestnut and morgan out of all things!) for this lady who's a friend of the family. She's a wee bit of a nut head. So I thought about having someone attach a lungeline to her bridle while I rde her. They do nothing but if she decides to be dumb I won't be going anywhere. Twice she's taken off or she just get's sooo heavy on my hands and tanks us around.

I thought too this would work until I got trot-walk, canter-trot, trot-canter, walk-trot etc. Just to have stop and go 100% there. Does this make any sense? I've ran out of ideas unless I start working out my biceps to hold on haha! And the lady wants her left in the loose ring snaffle...which fine okay.

SOOOOOOO this sound good? The mare's 5 too.
