I'm thinking both.....because in most books it's a breed, but than I think of it kinda just as a colour? So I think it swings both ways.

Both. In books, it is considered a breed, but different breeds can be palomino.
In summary: all palominos are breeeds, but all breeds can have palomino. . . makes sense when you think about it.

palimino is just a colour genetic like anything... ex gray.
The only reason it's a breed, is because it's classified as a characteristc, and a breed is a group of horses with a specific characteristic. Ex Arab's have one less vertebrae than the rest of horses.

but than how come it says in like all those horsey books that it's a breed AND a colour?? I guess it's more of an opinion and peoples thoughts and perspectives on it....

That's a good way to put it. Whatever you want to make it.
